A man who is dressed in shabby clothes is eating from a trash heap and walking the streets. He may be deeply wounded and has an uneasy look about him. Then, by chance, he meets up with his old lover.

Katharina, Ricky, Victoria and Malou live in an assisted living group. There they have built up an anarchic utopia as an alternative to everything they reject: Parents, school, rules. With social worker Ballack as a half-hearted guardian, things go well until their “live and let live” agreement starts to falter.

Follows a young man who after his father is murdered starts making bad choices, goes through life-threatening consequences and, of course, gets into guns.

After the violent death of his father, a teen-aged boy and his mother arrive in a small town where their fractured relationship is widened by his deepening journey into gun culture.

Three women, one family: Monika the mother, Angie the older sister and Kiki the baby of the family. Angie is a reality-TV star who is doggedly clinging onto her fading career. Angie's teenage sister Kiki is also finding life tough-going. Due to her epilepsy, her mother Monika insists that she wears a freaky protective helmet. The consequence: Kiki is ostracised and bullied, her life has long since become the hell from which her mother is trying to protect her.

On the birthday of the patriarch of the family, one of his sons decides to come out of the closet and test the tolerance of his nearest and dearest. But the surprises that he has up his sleeve do not end there.
